Matt AffleckManaging Director
Matt is a Curtin trained Physiotherapist with over 10 years private practice experience and is one of the managing directors of Betterfx Physiotherapy. Currently working at the Myaree physio clinic and Bibra Lake practices, his clinical interests include; shoulder injuries/rehabilitation, lower back pain, headache / migraine prevention, rehabilitative real time ultrasound imaging (RTUI) to guide soft tissue injury recovery and assist with core stabilisation training. Matt has a sporting background in water polo and both sprint and long distance swimming. Outside interest include free diving, surfing and kite surfing.
Alex is a highly motivated, energetic physiotherapist who graduated from Curtin University. Alex is practicing from the Betterfx Physiotherapy Bibra Lake and the Betterfx Myaree clinics. Alex has a vast knowledge of exercise rehabilitation, with over 9 years experience as a personal trainer and as a strength and conditioning/power lifting coach. Alex enjoys treating the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions with a passion for managing sporting injuries. Alex uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation to guide recovery and prevention of injuries. Outside of the clinic he is actively involved in mixed martial arts and loves to travel.
Tyler completed his Physiotherapy degree at Curtin University and since graduating has been working in the private setting. Tyler is currently working at the Willetton Betterfx physio clinic and at the Move Well Melville physio clinic and has a keen interest in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, including neck and back pain as well as sporting injuries and rehabilitation. Outside of work, Tyler plays in the WAFL for the East Fremantle Football Club and also enjoys spending time out on the water or travelling.
Shane is a Notre Dame University trained Physiotherapist working out of the Myaree Betterfx clinic. With almost 10 years experience teaching Pilates across a variety of settings, including high performance and rehabilitation, he gains the most satisfaction from helping people become strong and enjoy movement. Outside the clinic Shane plays in the WACFL and is a devoted dad to his daughter Clara.
Felicity KermodeClinical Director
Felicity is the Clinical Director of Betterfx Physiotherapy and teaches the clinical components of the Professional Development Program that all Betterfx and Move Well Physiotherapists complete. Felicity has post graduate degrees in both Sports and Manipulative Physiotherapy and regularly presents physiotherapy courses overseas, teaching physiotherapy skills that she has developed over 25 years working in the profession.
Peter OwensManaging Director
Peter graduated as a physiotherapist in 1986 and completed a Masters in Business Administration in 1993. Peter has over 25 years experience in private physiotherapy practices throughout Australia and is a Managing Director at Betterfx Physiotherapy.
